Though some don't seem to see it as such, at Sunlite, building student level drum sets is considered a big responsibility. We believe that a first drum set should be inexpensive, but it should never be cheap.

After 18 years of helping to make the dream of drumming a reality for thousands, the 509 student level kit now evolves into its sixth incarnation- the NS-509. An SS-69D basket-style snare stand gripping an 8 lug matching wood snare drum represent two of the significant new features. The B-3 "tear drop" lugs used in our upper line models have been added as well-adding more quality and a touch of style. As it has always been, the 509 is still our complete student outfit, so the cymbals and throne are included as part of the package; continuing the 509's tradition of solid value.
